What are you wearing today? Have you given it much thought? If you’re anything other than a sack of potatoes (congratulations), the answer is probably yes.
And how can you not? Fashion is one of the closest, most personal outlets we use to express ourselves. Most of us might not know the difference from lapis and cerulean (The Devil Wears Prada, anyone?), but we know whether we want to wear the navy or pink, the cotton or silk.
Our wardrobe grows with us according to our style, personality, and values. Everyone has at least one or two staples in their closet, and pieces with sentimental value.
Maybe it’s a pair of shoes that works with everything or a jacket you borrowed but never returned because it fits you better anyway. Clothes have stories. We wear them on our skin, and they are part of our personal brand.
With something this important, how can we be completely satisfied with just the big brand experience?
This Thursday, we’re going to be speaking to people who have been seeking the alternative right herein Hong Kong, the land of excess where big name designers reign large. Yes, that’s right, it’s our final event for our Made in Hong Kong Week, Fashion Forward!
We’ll be speaking to Grana, self-proclaimed team of ‘true fabric aficionados', who make high-quality timeless wardrobe essentials at disruptive prices.
Yeechoo is a company aspiring to create a boundless designer wardrobe for us all at the fraction of a price, utilizing the new sharing economy and emphasizing on the experience.
Goxip is also coming to speak with us. Are you inspired by an editorial? Or are you swooning over the shirt you saw on a friend? Enter Goxip.
Last but not least, moderating the event will be Sassy Hong Kong, our chic fashion guru.
Fashion is a part of everyone’s lifestyle, and we’re super excited to have this panel. See you there!
