A Hong Kong company needs a registered office address in Hong Kong. The Companies Registry does not accept a PO box for this purpose.
A Post Box at Garage Society gives your company a real commercial address with mail handling, from HK$300 per month. A private office is the better choice when you need a place to work, or when a licence application requires one.

What the Companies Registry requires
Every Hong Kong company must give a registered office address in Hong Kong. That address appears on the public register, so anyone can look it up.
A residential address is allowed. It also becomes searchable, which many founders prefer to avoid. A commercial address keeps your home out of the public record and gives clients and banks a more business-like point of contact.
Your options
- Post Box. A commercial address with mail handling and reception support during office hours. This suits overseas founders, consultants and small teams who work remotely.
- Coworking or dedicated desk. A place to work alongside the address. Light Cowork starts from HK$2,000 per month and a Dedicated Desk from HK$3,600 per month.
- Private office. A lockable office for your team, from HK$3,000 per person per month. It is the right choice when you need a physical base.
Post Box prices by location
- Wan Chai from HK$300 per month, with a Lockhart Road address.
- Sheung Wan from HK$300 per month, with a Queen's Road West address.
- Causeway Bay from HK$400 per month, with a Jaffe Road address.
- Central from HK$800 per month, with a Duddell Street address.
Every Post Box includes mail handling and reception support during office hours. You can upgrade to a desk or an office later and keep the same business address.

When a Post Box is not enough
Some regulated businesses need more than an address for mail. Applicants for a Trust or Company Service Provider licence, or a Money Service Operator licence, are expected to have a genuine place of business that the regulator can attend.
In those cases a private office is the appropriate choice. We explain the requirements in our guide to office space that meets TCSP and MSO licence requirements.
What to check before you choose
Ask the provider whether the address is a commercial address in a commercial building, and whether mail is handled by a staffed team. A shared mailbox with no reception behind it is a weaker choice if banks or regulators write to you.
Ask how quickly you are told when mail arrives, and whether you can collect it in person or have it forwarded. At Garage Society the community team handles mail at reception during office hours.

What if I need to meet clients at the address?
