Coworking at Garage Society starts from HK$2,000 per person per month. A private office starts from HK$3,000 per person per month. A Post Box, for teams that only need a business address, starts from HK$300 per month.
These are starting prices rather than a rate card. Many teams pay more or less depending on location, team size and term, so the more useful question is what moves the price.
What moves the price
Location moves it most. Central, on Duddell Street in the financial and legal district, sits at the higher end. Wan Chai and Sheung Wan sit at the lower end with the same inclusions, and Causeway Bay sits between them.
Access hours come next. Light Cowork gives 10 full days a month on weekdays, while Full-Time Cowork and Dedicated Desk members can use the space at any hour.
Team size and term also matter. Larger teams and longer commitments can often be priced better, so it is worth asking rather than multiplying a list price by headcount.
Coworking or a private office
Choosing between the two is a little like choosing between renting a desk and renting a room. A desk is easy to scale up or down. A room becomes a base that your team can arrange and call its own.
A founder working alone is often well served by coworking, starting from HK$2,000 per month. A team of four is the more interesting case. In a Wan Chai private office it would start from HK$12,000 per month, with a door that closes and everything below already included. Our comparison of coworking and a serviced office goes through how to decide.
What is included
Every plan includes reception during office hours, high-speed WiFi, printing, air conditioning during office hours, and tea, coffee and soft drinks. There are no separate service or utility bills.
Full-Time Cowork includes up to 1 hour of meeting room time and a Dedicated Desk up to 2 hours. Private offices come with meeting room credits, and rooms can be booked by the hour beyond that.
If you only need an address
A Post Box gives you a business address and mail handling without a desk, and it is the lowest cost option we offer. Our guide to a Hong Kong business address for company registration explains when it is enough.
